A Brick Township man who served as a Class I special police officer has been sentenced to a stint in the Ocean County Jail and lifetime parole supervision following his pleading guilty to charges of possessing child pornography, the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office said.
John Kisch, 59, was sentenced to 270 days in the county jail, where he current is lodged. Superior Court Judge Guy P. Ryan also sentenced Kisch to lifetime parole supervision upon release. Kisch pled guilty to the charge Sept. 24, 2024. He was initially arrested June 13, 2023 after authorities received a tip from the New Jersey State Police Internet Crimes Against Children task force following a federal referral.
An investigation by the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office identified an IP address associated with a Brick Township residence as the location from which the individual was uploading the images of child pornography, authorities said. That individual was ultimately identified as Kisch who, at the time, was employed as a part-time Class I Special Officer with the Brick Township Police Department.
