A warehouse building that once served as the distribution center for the Shore area clothing store chain B&B would be expanded under its current owner, a filing with the township’s zoning board states.
The warehouse at 254 Drum Point Road, which is located in the township’s Village Zone, is seeking use variance approval to construct an addition to the existing warehouse. Approval by the Zoning Board of Adjustment is required since warehouses are not a permitted use in the Village Zone, though the facility in question is pre-existing.
According to property records, the building was constructed in 1968 on a 2.35 acre parcel. There is about 10,300 square feet of space that can be utilized. The building is now owned by American Perfit, a company that distributes parts and accessories for watches. The company is seeking approval to expand its building, increasing impervious coverage slightly above the permitted area of 60 percent to 64.7 percent.
