Route 35 northbound will be closed this afternoon for emergency repairs to a collapsed drainage pipe near East Street in Point Pleasant Beach, Ocean County, according to the state Department of Transportation.
Beginning at 3 p.m. today, Monday, March 17, Route 35 northbound will be closed at mile post 12.7, near East Street. The closure is expected to remain in place overnight and is necessary for emergency drainage repairs. Alternating traffic will be maintained on Route 35 southbound during construction. Motorists are advised to slow down, use caution, and expect delays.
