A Brick woman has been arrested for allegedly leaving her five-year-old child in a car while she drank at a Seaside Heights bar.

Cynthia A. Martin, 36, of Brick, was arrested Sept. 4 by Det. Stephanie Bayha and Brick Police Officer Justin Heffernan, according to a statement from the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office.

Martin left the five-year-old child unattended in a vehicle while she went to Riggers Bar on the Boulevard in Seaside Heights to consume alcohol, authorities say. She then left the bar, was stopped by Seaside Heights police officers and charged with DWI.
