The Brick Township council this week appointed three township residents to serve on the Zoning Board of Adjustment and one as a commissioner of the Brick Township Municipal Utilities Authority.
Joseph Morrell and Steve Leitner were both appointed to serve on the Board of Adjustment for terms ending Dec. 31, 2018. Jeff Schneider was appointed to serve as an alternate board member whose term will end Dec. 31, 2016. Morrell and Leitner will replace Madeline Iannarone and Dennis Libertore, whose terms on the board expired at the end of 2014. Morrell previously served as an alternate member of the board, necessitating a new alternate to be chosen.
Also, James C. Bayard was appointed a commissioner on the MUA, and Gregory Flynn was appointed as an alternate commissioner. Bayard, who was previously an alternate commissioner of the MUA, replaced Joseph Veni in June 2014 after Venice resigned in the wake of sexual harassment allegations coming to light. Bayard will now formally replace Veni on the MUA as a full member and Flynn will take Bayard’s former spot as an alternate member.
