A Brick Township man has been indicted by a Monmouth County grand jury on a charge of assault by auto.
Craig M. Cardoso, 31, of Beverly Beach Road, is accused of being involved in an accident while intoxicated, according to a copy of the indictment. During the Nov. 30, 2014 accident, a victim, identified as Stacy A. Shade, suffered a serious injury after Cardoso struck her car while driving recklessly, court documents say.
Cardoso’s bail was set at $2,500 with the condition that he not operate a motor vehicle.
