The Brick Township Police Department and the Brick Township Police Athletic League announced Monday that they have partnered up to organize a Police Explorer Club program aimed Brick’s middle school youth.

Beginning in February, the two groups will launch the Youth Police Explorer Club. Unlike the police department’s Police Explorer Post, which is open to students ages 14 to 21, the Explorer Club is open to middle school students regardless of age. The program will be limited to 50 participants.

Anyone whose son or daughter is interested in the new program can attend a parent meeting on Friday, Jan. 9 at 6:30 p.m. at the Brick PAL Building, located at 60 Drum Point Rd. Anyone planning to attend is asked to let the police department know beforehand by contacting the Traffic Safety Office at 732-262-1140.
