Joe’s Service Center

Today we’d like to welcome Joe’s Service Center on Mantoloking Road as one of our sponsors here at Shorebeat!

You can find their ads running on the right side of all our pages, and if you click on the link, you’ll be offered a coupon for a $29.95 oil change and tire rotation (for up to five quarts of oil).

In 1958, Joe’s Service Center was founded by Joseph C. Bevacqua, Sr. a few doors down from its present location. At the time, it was an Esso station. In 1960, Breton Woods Gulf opened its doors at 584 Mantoloking Rd, where the business has been located ever since.

From 1960 through 1990, the service center remained a Gulf station, but in March of 1990, the family switched gears and gave the station a new look, updating the building with a stone fascia and changing its name to Joe’s Service Center. The station also became a Mobil dealer, and in 2005 changed to a Lukoil station after that company took over Mobil contracts in the Shore area. From April 2007 to May 2014, the station was a Liberty fuel dealer.

In 2005, Lukoil had purchased all the Mobil contracts in the area. For a short 2 year period we were Lukoil.  In April of 2007 to May of 2014, we were proud to become a Liberty gas station.

The service center is still owned and operated by Joe Bevacqua’s two children and his son-in-law.

“We pride ourselves on customer service and treating you like family,” the staff says. “Always happy to help with questions and concerns since the day we opened our doors.”
