State lottery officials have confirmed a third-place ticket in Wednesday’s $500 million Powerball jackpot was sold at a convenience store in Brick.
The ticket, which matched four white balls and the Powerball, was sold at the 7-Eleven store at 375 Brick Boulevard. It was one of seven third-place tickets sold in New Jersey.
In addition to the third prizewinning tickets, there were 347,833 New Jersey players who took home an estimated $1,690,431 in prizes ranging from $4 to $300, according to Lottery Executive Director Carole Hedinger. Nobody won the jackpot outright in the multi-state game.
“Congratulations to these fortunate lottery players who purchased the winning tickets,” said Hedinger. “These lucky players now join the growing ranks of New Jersey Powerball winners.”
The winning numbers for the Wednesday, Jan. 6 drawing were: 02, 11, 47, 62 and 63. The Red Power Ball number was 17. The Multiplier number was 03.
The Powerball jackpot will roll to $675,000,000 for the next drawing.
