A Lakewood police officer who was patrolling an area of the township where a children’s playground is located arrested two men for drug possession after he noticed them sitting in a vehicle during Sunday night’s snowstorm.

Officer Ryan Dancey noticed the white Toyota 4Runner in the parking area at about 6:30 p.m., police said. While speaking with the occupants of the SUV, 29-year-old Felix Perez-Perez, of Lakewood, and 26-year-old Raymundo Flores-Aguirre, of Queens N.Y., Dancey observed a clear plastic bag containing suspected cocaine inside the vehicle.

An investigation resulted in the recovery of additional cocaine, marijuana and several small caliber bullets. No weapon was found.
