Brick is thanking veterans on the most patriotic day of the year, Mayor John Ducey announced this week.
All veterans and their spouses and dependent children will receive free parking and beach access this July 4, said Ducey, who borrowed the idea from a Monmouth County town.
“It’s a great way to honor the men and women of our country who gave so much of their lives, their health and themselves to defend our country,” said Ducey.

Brick will become the first town in Ocean County to host a Veterans Appreciation Day at the beach.
