Brick police said Wednesday morning that they seized over 4 pounds of marijuana, cash, and a quantity of illicit mushrooms from two men after executing a search warrant Monday on two homes. Three local residents – two from Brick – were charged in the case.

The search warrants were the result of an investigation that lasted several months involving the distribution of “large amounts of marijuana,” Sgt. The search warrants resulted in the seizure of approximately 4.6 pounds of marijuana and over one ounce of Psilocybin mushrooms, according to Pedersen. Along with the drugs seized was approximately $61,000 in cash.
