Volunteer firefighters from Brick’s Pioneer Hose and Breton Woods companies this week paid respect to police officers after several tough weeks for Brick’s (and America’s) finest.

“The word Brotherhood does not simply apply to one service in particular,” the Pioneer Hose company said via social media. “Military, Police, Fire and EMS are all a part of the same team.”

“Today we kneel for our brothers and tomorrow we will stand for them.” ‪#‎thinblueline ‬‪#‎westandtogether‬.

“Our purpose is to serve and protect our communities to the best of our abilities,” the social media post continued. “When one of us are in trouble we bound together as a family and in this family no one fights alone. [Fire] District 1 supports our brothers and sisters in blue.”

First responders across the nation have been showing support for police officers recently following the murders of officers in Dallas, Baton Rouge and elsewhere, as well as incendiary rhetoric at anti-police protests.
