Additionally, the UNICO chapter is continuing its pasta drive to support local food pantries.
Members donate pasta at each monthly meeting, which is collected and delivered to the food pantries. Spearheaded by club member Laura Messina Campo, the project started as an idea to collect 100 pounds of pasta for the September 2016 Hunger Action Month. Due to the overwhelming community need and generosity of club members, the donations have continued. As of March 2017 Brick UNICO has donated over 175 pounds of pasta. UNICO‘s motto is, “Service Above Self.” If you are interested in donating pasta, or joining Brick UNICO, please email them at BrickUnico@gmail.com.
