A Brick resident has been arrested and charged with several weapons offenses by Point Pleasant Borough police.
Phillip Cancel, 32, was arrested by Point Boro police after an “extended investigation,” Capt. Robert Lokerson said in a statement.
Cancel was arrested Tuesday by Detective Joseph Hynes. He was charged with first degree unlawful possession of weapons, two counts of possessing weapons while being a person banned from doing so, and a fourth degree charge of unlawful disposition of a firearm.

Cancel, whose photo was not available, was released on a criminal summons.
