The Brick Branch of the Ocean County Library will sponsor a blood drive in partnership with the American Red Cross on Wednesday, June 13, 2018, from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The blood drive will take place on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 from 2 pm – 7 pm in the meeting room of the Brick Library, 301 Chambers Bridge Road, Brick. Though walk-ins are welcome, library officials say it is best to make an appointment by calling 1-800-733-2767 (1-800-RED CROSS), signing up online at www.redcrossblood.org, or calling the library: 732 477-4513, #4 on menu.

According to the Red Cross, an estimated 38 percent of Americans are eligible to give blood, but of those, less than 10 percent actually donate each year.

“If you are healthy and eligible, please come out to donate,” an announcement said. “Most donations take about an hour, so book your appointment, roll up your sleeve and become a part of the lifesaving mission of the Red Cross.”
