Brick Township’s annual ceremony that remembers those who died in the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks has been moved from the ‘Angel in Anguish’ memorial at Windward Beach to an indoor location due to weather concerns.

Township officials said the ceremony will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the municipal building, 401 Chambers Bridge Road. The annual ceremony remembers all those who died in the attacks – especially the Brick residents whose names appear on the statue. Separately, a steel beam from the World Trade Center is located at the municipal building.

Note: An earlier version of this story said this week’s township council meeting would take place after the ceremony. The meeting had actually been rescheduled to Wednesday at 7 p.m. to accommodate the ceremony.
