The neighborhood known as Breton Woods I is the focus of the project, which includes the following streets:

The MUA is currently accepting bids on the work, through Dec. 5.

The current 2″ diameter galvanized steel water mains and 3″ diameter cast iron water mains will be replaced with approximately 11,350 lineal feet of 6″ and 8″ PVC pipe, 200 lineal feet of 6″ and 8″ ductile iron pipe, and approximately 248 one-inch polyethylene water service connections with OD controlled bronze service saddles.

The work also includes 248 water meter pits and 19 fire hydrants for the neighborhood.

After the groundwork is complete, the impacted roads and right of ways will be sealed, repaved and the sites restored.
