Brick Township will be providing a special brush pickup starting later this week following damage caused by Tropical Storm Isaias.

Public Works crews will begin collecting brush from the recent storm on Friday, Aug. 7, said township Business Administrator Joanne Bergin. Officials expect the pikcup effort to take several days and ask residents to be patient.

“Please have your brush at your curb by the morning of August 7,” an announcement said. “Limbs and branches must be no greater than 4-inches in diameter and no longer than 4-feet in length.”

Residents may also bring their brush to the Ridge Road Recycling Center, 836 Ridge Road, Monday through Saturday, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The recycling center was busy Wednesday with a constant flow of trucks and trailers bringing in brush. Two large piles had been set up to accommodate residents.
