Shop-Rite Giving Out Free Ice; Some Brick Neighborhoods Expect Power Back by 3pm

Brick officials said Jersey Central Power and Light was continuing to restore power across the township, and three specific neighborhoods were expected to receive electrical service by about 3 p.m.

Meanwhile, Saker Shop Rites, 668 Route 70, Brick, and 2445 Route 34 in Wall Township, are both offering free water and ice to those without power.

Brick police said those in the Midstreams section, Princeton Avenue corridor and the State Streets neighborhoods (Herbertsville), can power restoration is expected by 3 p.m.

“I your power is still out, hang in there,” police said in an announcement. “JCP&L is working around the clock to restore power.”
