Brick officials have awarded a contract for the operation of the snack stand at Brick Beach I, choosing the same vendor that runs the stand at the larger Beach III.
The township council unanimously voted to accept a $24,900 bid from Jersey Shore Snack Shack 2, LLC, of Point Pleasant, for the operation of the Beach I snack stand for three years. Broken down, the contract is worth $8,200 this coming season, $8,300 the next season and $8,400 in 2024.

The vendor must pay the annual operating fee by Jan. 15 each year of the contract. Jersey Shore Snack Shack was chosen based on a recommendation of the township’s recreation superintendent, “based on a positive rapport with the township and the township’s beachgoers as the current contract for the Beach III concession stand.”
