Brick Township’s annual Summerfest celebration is here.
The 2022 series of weekly summer festivals will kick off this Thursday at Windward Beach Park. The evening will begin with a concert by Super Trans Am, “The Seventies Concert Experience,” at 7 p.m. followed by fireworks on the river. STA plays the best arena anthems and chart-topping hits of the 70s while also putting on a great stage show.
This season marks the 27th year of Summerfest.
“Summerfest is truly one of the best summer traditions at the Jersey Shore,” said Mayor John Ducey. “It gives families the opportunity to have a fun and affordable night out, enjoy great music and fireworks and more.”
In addition to the music and the fireworks, each concert will feature a food court as well as a beer and wine garden for guests ages 21 and over. (A valid ID is required to enter the beer and wine garden.)
A free shuttle bus service will be available for people wishing to attend Summerfest. Shuttle bus locations are Drum Point Elementary School, Brick Township High School, Brick Memorial High School, Veterans Memorial Middle School and the Fellowship Chapel parking area on Duchess Lane. Shuttle buses begin trips to the park at 5pm and return trips from Windward begin at 8pm. Any person under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
Coolers are permitted at Summerfest, however guests may not bring alcohol into the park. (Bags and coolers are subject to search.)
