The National Weather Service has issued a Heat Advisory, which will remain in effect until 8 p.m. Tuesday. The advisory calls for heat index values to range between 100 and 104 degrees. The actual high is forecast to reach 98 degrees. Hot temperatures and high humidity levels will increase the threat of heat related health issues, the advisory said, but some relief was in sight.

“A cold front is expected to arrive tonight, bringing an end to the long stretch of excessively hot humid weather,” the NWS said, however the agency’s forecast shows hot weather will remain in place to some extent.
