Though the weather may be a bit on the wet side, Brick Township is among dozens of Shore towns organizing beach sweeps this weekend.

The Brick Township Environmental Commission will be participating in Clean Ocean Action’s 38th Annual Fall Beach Sweeps. The Beach Sweeps will take place at Windward Beach, Brick Beach I and Brick Beach III on Saturday, Oct. 21 from 9 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.

Members of the Environmental Commission will serve as captains at the three sweep sites in Brick Township. Any person, group or organization that would like to help make sure Brick looks its best can register online to volunteer.
