Brick Township will continue a multi-year agreement with its smaller neighbor, Mantoloking Borough, on the use of code enforcement and zoning officer services.

The council last week approved a measure that will permit Brick’s code and zoning officials to perform work in Mantoloking, for which the township will be reimbursed.

“Brick Township code enforcement officers will respond to property maintenance violations on a part-time, as-needed basis in the Borough of Mantoloking and be reimbursed for those services to cover the cost,” said Councilwoman Heather deJong. “Those with proper certifications will also assist with zoning issues at the employee’s hourly rate.”

A resolution passed unanimously by the council calls for an hourly rate of $50 per employee during regular hours and $75 per hour in the evenings.
