Brick Farmers Market Returns in 2024: Here’s Who’s Selling (And Dogs Are Welcome to Attend)

A pilot program that began last summer wherein dog owners were allowed to bring their four-legged friends with them to Brick Township’s seasonal Farmers Market will continue in 2024.

The Farmers’ Market will return Saturday, May 4 and continue through Saturday, Sept. 28 at Windward Beach Park. Last year, Mayor Lisa Crate said many residents asked if they could bring their dogs with them to the market, which had not been permitted in the past.

“Dogs are allowed in township parks as long as they are leashed and their owners clean up after them as needed, however the Band Shell area at Windward Beach is considered a beach area where dogs are not allowed,” said Councilwoman Melissa Travers.

Last year, the council made an exception and voted to allow leashed and licensed dogs to join their owners at the market on a trial basis. As it turns out, both the dogs and their humans followed the rules of decorum, leading the council to waive the “no dogs” rule again for 2024.

“Last year was the first year dogs were allowed, and the change went very well,” said Travers.

In the mean time, the township has been putting together an updated list of vendors who will be selling their wares at the market. In addition to fresh fruits and vegetables, vendors sell crafts, cheeses, local wines and other products. Some vendors join the market later in the season since their crops are not harvested until then. As of April 11, 2024, the following vendors have been confirmed for this season:
