Prosecutors in Ocean County on Thursday said a Brick man has been charged with numerous drug offenses after a two month-long investigation yielded pounds of marijuana-based products, cocaine, heroin, methamphetamine, and hundreds of thousands of dollars in cash.

What was described as a “cooperative, multi-agency investigation” identified a residence in Brick Township as being utilized by Brandon O’Shea, 40, of Brick Township, to store and distribute cocaine and marijuana, prosecutors allege.

According to a statement from the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office, on May 9, 2024, detectives from the numerous law enforcement agencies established stationary and mobile surveillance on the subject residence in Brick Township. Detectives observed O’Shea exit the residence, enter his motor vehicle, and leave the area, the statement said. A short time later, officers from the Brick Township Police Department executed a motor vehicle stop on the vehicle that O’Shea was operating. He was taken into custody without incident.

O’Shea was charged with possession of a half-ounce or more of cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of a half-ounce or more of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of five pounds or more of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of less than a half-ounce of heroin with intent to distribute, and possession of cocaine, methamphetamine, heroin, and cocaine with intent to distribute within 1,000 feet of a school.

He was also charged with financial facilitation and possession of drug paraphernalia.

O’Shea was initially transported to the Ocean County Jail, but subsequently released under New Jersey’s bail reform law, the statement said.
